With the first-ever United Late Model Association (ULMA) special
event now in the books, California, Missouri late model ace James
Rutledge walked away from last weekend’s race action as the ULMA
Duel Showdown Champion.

The race for the United Late Model Association Championship (ULMA)
continued last weekend with three more points-earning races taking
place.

Due to wet conditions this past weekend, the WK Chevrolet ULMA Late
Model drivers were only able to compete in two of the four scheduled
racing events as both Friday night ULMA
tracks,
Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri and Valley Speedway in Grain
Valley, Missouri were forced to cancel their racing programs.

The W-K Chevrolet United Late Model Association (ULMA) was finally
able to begin its inaugural season this past weekend with a total of
16 drivers participating in racing action at Callaway Raceway in
Fulton, MO and Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO.

The
W-K Chevrolet United Late Model Association (ULMA) is once again
pleased to announce that additional sponsors have signed on and have
added prize money to the still growing end-of-year point and
contingency fund.
Rookie of the Year Category Announced for ULMA

Despite the United Late Model Association (ULMA) being in its first
year of operation there will be a Rookie of the Year who will be
recognized at the end of the year association banquet, which is
planned for October 20th.

The United Late Model Association drivers are ready to start their
inaugural year of racing and will do so on Saturday, March 31st at
Lucas Oil Speedway in
Wheatland, Missouri, the first night drivers will be eligible to
earn points toward the ULMA championship.

Lucas
Oil Speedway has officially become the latest track to adopt the
United Late Model Association (ULMA) rules package for weekly late
model racing for the 2007 season.

The United Late
Model Association (ULMA), fresh off the heels of its most recent meeting,
received some exciting information from two of the Midwest’s most well-known
and respected racing facilities!

*The ULMA would like to welcome and thank both Grain Valley Speedway and
Central Missouri Speedway as the first tracks to adopt the ULMA sanction.
We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with our new partners!
*The Next ULMA meeting will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2007
at the Ramada Inn Restaurant/Lounge in Sedalia, MO at 1 p.m. The Ramada Inn
is located at 3501 West 50 Hwy near the Wal-Mart.

Warrensburg, MO. (January 12, 2007) -
ULMA Meeting Information: January 20th in Warrensburg, MO, at the ABC
Building in Grover Park, Noon to 1 p.m.
To get to the ABC Building
coming in from the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 13 (Maguire), stay
on 13 until you get to North Street, make a left at North Street and
continue on just past the tennis courts on the right side of the street and
use the parking lot by the courts.
For those coming in from the Southside of Warrensburg on Highway 13
(Maguire), make a right at North Street. The intersection of North and
Maguire Streets has a stoplight and is adjacent to the King’s Chef Buffet
Chinese restaurant.

The ULMA has several items on the agenda for the January 20th Meeting to
discuss.
The board has decided upon a $50 membership fee for all
ULMA members for 2007. Membership fees will be used to cover various
expenses with starting up the association to include but not limited to:
advertisement, mailings and possible legal fees. The ULMA is actively
pursuing special events for the 2007 season and a portion of the membership
could also be used towards "specials" that are lined up for the '07 season.
Information will be forthcoming concerning joining the ULMA. The
association board is currently finalizing legal details concerning financial
matters and the association's existence.
The association has had interest from area sponsors and is hard at
work trying to secure these sponsorship possibilities. Since the
association is in its infant stages in trying to get up and running it is
extremely important that you all show your support by "talking up" the
association and attending the next meeting!
