The quest for the ULMA championship gets under way in just over two
weeks at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO, on Saturday, March
31st, which is the first night drivers begin earning points towards the
championship. With a total of 28 drivers already signed on as members
and the prospect of several more signing up during the initial weeks of
the season, the championship race is going to be exciting to watch all
year long! Only drivers that join the association as members are
eligible for ULMA sponsor point fund bonus money and contingency prizes
at the affiliated tracks and special events. During the season, drivers
can earn points at Callaway Raceway, Central Missouri Speedway (CMS),
Lucas Oil Speedway and Valley Speedway or special designated events by
keeping their overall 15 best points-earning nights of the year. After a
driver’s initial 15 events are recorded they will begin replacing their
worst point’s nights with improved performances, which should make for
an exciting finish down the final stretch! The inaugural champion will
be crowned at the ULMA banquet, which is in the early planning stages
but set for October 20th in Sedalia, MO.
Official pre-entry forms are now being accepted for the Memorial Day
Weekend Duel Showdown, which will be held at Valley Speedway and CMS, on
Friday, May 25th and Saturday, May 26th. Bonus money and contingency
awards will be handed out on night two at CMS to the overall top
performers from the two nights of consecutive racing. Be sure to e-mail
the association or visit the Website for more information.
